It’s February and still in the 40s most days here in Seattle, which for me means a long sleeve jersey and a vest (and a light rain jacket if it’s raining–which is often). And my favorite long sleeve jersey by far these days is the Voler Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey. So much so that I just ordered a third one.

Voler makes most of their clothing at their Grover Beach, California facility. The quality is very high and the prices are reasonable–these thermal long sleeve jerseys go for just $89. Good luck finding anything compatible for the same money.

My favorite of the three Voler thermals right now is this super stylish HiFi Sound Cycling Components, which just looks cool. I’m 5′ 11″ and 150 pounds and the medium fitted/race cut fits me perfect. Continue reading to see my new Simplicity Tartan thermal and my Black Mountain Cycles thermal.

After ordering the Simplicity Tartan I got an e-mail confirmation from Voler. Since these particular jerseys are made on demand, I knew I should allow seven business days before it even shipped. Well, I got it in the mail just eight days after I ordered it.

Voler always ships with Tootsie Rolls. How cool is that?

Seems like so many long sleeve jerseys are dark. I prefer my winter clothes to be lighter if possible since the days tend to be short and dark and I can use all the added visibility I can get. I think this light grey pattern is pretty cool.

Last but not least I got this Black Mountain Cycles jersey last month. Mike Varley from Black Mountain Cycles and I share a love for all things Molteni, and he designed this jersey to work with his new Molteni orange frames. This jersey is the club cut, so there is a bit more room for layering underneath if that is your thing.

Here’s a quick video where Voler talks about the advantage of keeping production in the USA!
